My 2 year old pauses his breathing when he sleeps for a few seconds at a time. i'd guess 2 to 10 seconds. he also sweats like crazy. is this normal?

Shallow breathing: Your son may be shallow breathing vs have a true pause in breathing. Does he snore at night or mouth breathe? He may be sweating due to having too much bedding on bed. Followup with your pediatrician re the breathing pauses and sweating at night.
