Post intubation ...: Dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), odynophagia (pain with swallowing), or simply discomfort is not that unusual. For it to persist for three weeks is; I would recommend seeing an ENT physician and having her take a look to see if there is some mild damage to the vocal chords or posterior pharynx. If you can eat without coughing and can swallow and speak without difficulty, there is no emergency.
