Sure: You probably already have the virus. Most people who harbor this virus have no symptoms. If you want to know, a blood test will tell you. It is quite likely that you will eventually get it anyway, even if you do not yet have it. A person who gets "cold sores" can get relief with valacyclovir or acyclivir pills. The topical creams/gels are not worth discussion.
