HSV2 shedding: As in my earlier reply, HSV2 shedding tends to be less for a few days after healing. If by "high" you're asking if HSV2 can be transmitted in the week after an outbreak heals, the answer is yes, probably it can, but not as likely as other times. Also depends on duration of infection: shedding at all times, and transmission risk, are highest in the 6-12 mo. after catching HSV2, lower after that.
