Give it time: It takes several days for miconazole (Monistat) and similar treatments to clear up the symptoms of yeast infection. Having sex also could have irritated things and make symptoms worse. Usually yeast causes little or no vaginal discharge. Give it a few more days, avoid sex for that time, and then see your doctor if symptoms are continuing.

You may need more: The cream may need to be used up to a week twice a day externally, or may be you need the 7-day vaginal suppository course in addition to the cream applied externally. If it doesn't improve after that, see your doctor, best wishes
