A member asked:

How long can a person safely take advil, a 200 mg dosage daily? does switching to aspirin make a difference, or do they both harm the body same?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Why do you need to: take this medication daily. If you are in pain all the time, you need to consult a doctor to find out why and address the underlying cause. No medication is entirely safe and taking any medication daily for a long time will have adverse side effects. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
