Don't do it again: If it felt irritating, don't do it again. What was the reason anyway? If you're attempting to reduce risk of HIV or other STDs after sex, it's pointless: alcohol has no known benefit in preventing STDs. In fact, the irritation it causes may slightly increase the risk of HIV if exposed.
