OUCH: Nothing you mention sounds inconsistent with a BRUISE / HEMATOMA (collection of blood) as a result of direct trauma. If the pain/swelling/redness is are increasing. Get it checked out. meantime apply some moist heat to the area (ICE first 24-36hours then heat!) Hope this is helpful DrZ
