A member asked:

My ob prescribed zofran for morning sickness. everything i've read says that this can cause defects. i don't want to question my dr, but is it safe?

Low risk: It is a category B drug, meaning that there have been no well-controlled studies on the effects of the drug on pregnant women. Though the risk are minimal to none, if you don't feel comfortable with take the medication there are other options such as Diclegis, which is a category A drug. It's good to bring up your concerns to your doctor.
