A member asked:

I'm on birth control,i've had my regular periods,if i were to get pregnant on birth control, would my withdrawal bleeding stop?or would they continue?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually stop: It is not unusual to have some bleeding early on, but later, the progesterone level rises dramatically during pregnancy and would override the fluctuation of bcp. If you suspect pregnancy, however, stopping BCP is important to avoid excess estrogen exposure to the fetus.
