Changes do happen: With abstinence blood supply to the vagina will diminish by a small degree. As a result all the lubricating glands decrease and vaginal skin become tighter and less lubricated. Regular sex promotes increase in blood supply and increase in natural lubricant production. So changes do happen with abstinence, you will notice them, but not quite back to virginal.
