Sprained wrist: 19 F: I might have sprained my wrist how can I heal it with out seeing docter? ANS: if there is no fracture then just rest it and get a wrist splint like they have at drugstore for wrist pain/injury. If it hurts when you move don't move it. Use cold first 6 hours then heating pad. If not getting better see your Dr. as it can be a fracture. Let us know what happened.

Pain swelling: Rest ice compression and elevation are hallmarks of initial treatment but however don't think "sprain" just because someone said you didn't fracture. There are many sprains that are severe and need treatment, just as there are small tiny injuries. There are also fractures that are not seen on initial films. X-rays may reveal malignant without fracture, MRI showed ligament relationships.
