Resting Heart Rate: As a sports medicine physician and NSCA certified trainer who works with athletes my impressions are that your heart rate variance is not at all abnormal! Competitive athletes have a resting heart rate as low as 60bpm range. If your body fat mass is low you may have less temperature insulation. Maximum heart rates in athletes can exceed 150bpm. Olympic rowers register as high as 200 bpm!
