Medications: It is best to try antifungals including econazole, chlortrimazole, ketoconazole, nystatin. You may be able to get some of these over-the-counter, but will likely need to get a stronger prescription from your doctor if these do not work.

Try creams first: I agree with dr. Dansie. There are several antifungal/"anti-yeast" creams that can be very beneficial. Yeasts also thrive in a wet moist environment, which is why they are often found in skin folds, under the breast, in the groin area, etc. So, it is important also to keep the area clean and dry. Yeast infection: Yeast often collects in the skin folds and is treated with a combination of prescription antifungal creams or pills. Drying powders such as zeasorb are helpful
