Several reasons: May have nothing to do with the sex. Women on depo can have irregular bleeding. May have just coincided with the sex. If the sex was very physical could be some trauma to cervix which could cause bleeding. Also have to think about infection as cause. If it continues more than a week, please see doctor for evaluation. Hope this was helpful. Best of luck with this. Dr R
