No pun intended,: but anxiety disorders can "feed into" unnecessary worry about many lifestyle issues, including dietary concerns. If you suspect a gluten intolerance, you should speak to your doctor about it before trying the expensive and inconvenient task of following a gluten-free diet. People who are lactose intolerant can still enjoy a number of dairy products, including yogurt and hard cheeses.

Gluten bipolar?: 19 F asks: Can a gluten free and/or dairy free diet help someone with bipolar disorder and anxiety? ANS: Very unlikely to help but easy to test. Stick rigidly to such a diet and see if you get better or not. If you get better then stop to see if you get worse. Repeat until you and team convinced it helps. But I would exhaust all other proven treatments first.
