Lymphadenopathy: The lymph nodes in the anterior cervical chain can enlarge and become tender in reaction to infections of the head and neck that drain into their distribution. Lymph nodes transiently enlarge or may swell in chronic infections and cancers of the lymphoid tissues. Do you have a sore throat, URI or dental abcess? Observation is the best approach with biopsy reserved for persisting suspicions nodes.

Lymph nodes: Swollen lymph nodes indicate infection. May be medical or dental. See your Dentist or your physician/urgent care to get the diagnostic process started.
