why is my acid reflux acting up so bad?

GERD: GERD symptoms are worsened by late night eating, eating in excess and consumption of high fat processed foods that are poorly digested. The first approach to control of reflux symptoms is behavioral. Obesity and rapid weight gain increase pressure in the abdomen to worsen reflux. Untreated chronic reflux leads to erosive esophagiitis...a risk factor for esophageal cancer in white males by age 50.
