Mass: start with Ultrasound and an Xray ( to make sure it is not arising from bone) . then depends on the report and the neck step would be a biopsy. it depends if you doctor decides to do a open biopsy or a USS guided biopsy.

Well: First a physical exam. If the doctor is unclear could do an ultra sound to see what this lesion is. Then go from there
