Infection: probably from yeast and especially if you are obese or diabetic. You can try keeping it very clean and dry and use an OTC antifungal agent (preferably powder) ---ask your pharmacist. But you should definitely be checked for diabetes and if the skin is angry red and seems to be spreading you need to be seen urgently. Good luck.
