A member asked:

Can you get stomach inflammation with regular acid reflux few months after u stopped iron if you took iron for a prolonged time?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unclear question: Reflux does not cause stomach inflammation. It affects the esophagus. If you think you have stomach inflammation, helicobacter infection is a more likely explanation. You may try taking antacids available over the counter, if that does not heal, you should consult your doctor. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
