More evaluation: is needed for your son preferably by an Allergist/Immunologist,if you have access to one. Many possibilities: Your child should have a test for cystic fibrosis. If that is negative, then I recommend he be tested for an immune deficit with quantitative immunoglobulins and IgG subsets as well as IgE level. Has he had a test for tuberculosis? Is he exposed to anyone who smokes? Is he exposed to interior fumes of any type? Consider scheduling a visit with one of our providers for an in depth assessment.
