See a doctor now: I would recommend you be seen as soon as possible. This is a tough part of the body to have a skin infection. If it's an abscess, it can usually be handled on an outpatient basis with a simple I&D and short course of antibiotics. Left untreated, perirectal abscesses can get large, painful and require surgical debridement in the OR.
