Sometimes: you are correct in thinking that Aldara works by stimulating the body's immune response, it is most effective when applied directly to the involved lesions, but theory is that once the body's immune system learns how to destroy a specific type of lesion (wart, skin cancer), it will also work on similar lesions elsewhere; however, this effect is not consistent
