A member asked:

I was diagnosed with a uti and chlamydia and was given macrobid for both, is that enough to take care of my problems?

UTI OK, chlamydia no: You might have only chlamydia, which can cause similar symptoms and urinalysis findings as UTI. Nitrofurantoin (Macrobid) is good for most UTIs but definitely will not work against chlamydia, which needs to be treated either with doxycycline or azithromycin. Contact your doctor, or get a second opinion from a doctor or clinic with expertise in STDs. Good luck!
