Period delayed: . Delay or scanty bleeding may be normal occasionally, it depends on the history of previous periods and the age of the patient? If there are any urinary symptoms like frequency or burning then urine should be checked for bacteria. Blood test for pregnancy is better than urine test. If symptoms recur or persistent ultrasound of the pelvis should be ordered
