Adhesive capsulitis: You shouldn't take prednisone with ibuprofen. Prednisone also is not a very good option for bursitis. If you're experiencing stiffness it's unlikely to be bursitis and more likely to be adhesive capsulitis. In which case mostly physical therapy as well as the joint injection would be recommended.
