I have a previously existing mole that i noticed had changed significantly & meets all of the abcde rules. is it possible that it is not melanoma?

Possible: It may not be melanoma, however, it would be prudent to have it removed and the tissue sent to a pathologist for examination.

See a dermatologist: Possible. But recognition of melanoma is life-saving. A dermatologist will determine if it should be removed and how.
