Pneumaturia: is the name given to the passage of gas or air in the urine. One of the most common causes is a fistula/ passage between the colon and bladder, a complication of diverticulitis or inflammatory bowel disease. A tumor of the bladder or colon can also cause this as can a RARE bladder infection with gas causing bacteria. This definitely requires prompt/urgent evaluation by your Doctor/Urologist.
