Weed bad for lungs: The long-term effects of cannabis use are still debatable and there is controversy about whether it causes damage to the brain. There is some evidence it may harm the developing nervous systems of teenagers, and it may trigger mental health problems such as schizophrenia. But weed use almost certainly causes lung problems similar to smoking cigarettes, such as bullous emphysema. Don't do drugs!

Altho we don't know: for sure about adults, we do know that developing brains (people under 25 y/o) are more likely to be affected by repeated use of weed. On the other hand, since we don't know, why take the chance???? Dr. Anne

No: On the contrary, experimental studies done at the Salk institute show that cannabis may prevent the development of Alzheimer's disease. Cannabis reduces the accumulation of Beta amyloid plaque in the brain, and reduces inflammation in the brain, both of which are associated with Alzheimer's disease.
