Oral cancer: Yes, it's possible. If you have a new sore or rough area that does not heal within 7-10 days it needs to be examined by your dentist or an oral surgeon. In any case, if you are concerned about any area in your mouth, have it examined by your dentist.

Luck: I've seen oral cancer in 20s with no risk factors. See oral surgeon or ENT doc if you have any of these symptoms: Persistent mouth sore, persistent mouth pain, a lump or thickening in the cheek, a white/red patch on the gums, tongue, tonsil, or lining of the mouth, a sore throat, hoarseness or feeling that something is caught in the throat that does not go away, difficulty swallowing/chewing.
