There are some: reasons that a patient could have chest pain following a pacemaker implantation. Lead perforation, pericardial inflammation, higher heart rate resulting in Angina. Intermittent chest pain would be less likely to be serious but still concerning. If her doctor says it is nothing perhaps you should seek a second opinion. Unfortunately this is not something that lends itself to internet evaluation.
