6 yr with eye nerve cupping like her dad.what should i do and any underlying conditions if she has this? thanks

Possibly congenital : Only a carefully conducted clinical examination with useful tests will be instrumental in determining whether the child's optic nerve cupping is pathological or a variant of normal. The father with similar clinical findings doesn't necessarily rule out disease in the child. The father could have glaucomatous disease. He should be carefully examined too. My advice: make an appt. with a glaucoma MD
