Borderline: Normal to high-normal. If it is high, there may be a low thyroid. Among other things a low thyroid produces a slow heart rate. High or low thyroid may cause hair loss. Ovarian cysts commonly cause hair loss [PCOS]. This is treatable in experienced hands.

Normal TSH LEVELS: The normal range for TSH is generally stated as 0.5 to 5.0. However, many endocrinologists consider anything outside the range of 0.5 to 3.0 especially if there are clinical symptoms as abnormal. I would follow JP with an endocrinologist. The hair loss is reversible with treatment.
