Should it be free?: We live in a free country, but that doesn't mean items should be free. If you make ice cream, you should not give it away for free. If the pharmacy has birth control pills, it should not give it away for free. The cost should be very affordable such as a few bucks. Nobody knows what future government policies will be. If worried, consider a 5-year IUD to last beyond the next presidential election.

Depends: The GOP would love to end support for planned parenthood which is a major supplier of birth control. The new bill which will certainly be modified in the Senate, will leave birth control under Medicaid to be the choice of each State. Trump would personally like to end it to free up money for his wall. Stay tuned until this is finalized.
