NO: HSV-1 is Oral herpes and can not cause "Genital herpes" by definition (It would be simply HSV-1). However, to take the flip side, if someone has genital herpes and you perform oral sex on that person, you can get Genital herpes on your lips/mouth area from the contact with the HSV-2 (genital).
