STDs and sexual play: Yes, it sounds like you have herpes. He does not have to have sores to transmit this virus. Every sexually active adult now should know their herpes status since we now know more about contagiousness. It sounds like you need a full gyn exam with std testing.

See doctor: If he has never had another sexual partner, then it is unlikely you have genital herpes. However, there are two other possibilities: 1) he could be lying or 2) it could be oral herpes which can be transmitted down there if you had oral sex with each other. The vaginosis just may be irritation from having sex. In any event, see your doctor for a diagnosis and treatment.
