A member asked:

My sister went for a ct scan with contrast and because her creatine was too high they couldn't do it. why???

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Contrast and kidneys: The contrast agent used in CT scans can damage the kidneys. If the creatinine is already high then there is more risk. If her creatinine goes back to normal then she may be able to get the test or they may change to an MRI.
