Count back 38 weeks: February 1st is a Wednesday. One can simply look at a calendar and count back 38 weeks (38 Wednesdays) to find the estimated date of conception. Dates are always estimates, plus or minus 1 week. In real life, it almost never matters exactly when conception was... an estimate is just fine. The official starting point of counting the pregnancy weeks would be 2 weeks BEFORE the conception date.
