Relaxin: Relaxin hormone is produced by the placenta and the corpus luteum of the ovary. It is believed to be involved in the softening of the pelvic ligaments during childbirth and pregnancy. It is not a hormone that Obgyns test for or use for diagnostic purposed. There is not a known link between Relaxin and post partum facial ligaments .
