Weight gain: Weight gain is such a short time is a difficult target . You need to get your bloods including thyroid functions done . The important issue is that have u been skinny to start with or you have lost weight. If you have been skinny, it may be that your metabolic rate is high. As long as u are healthy u need not do anything. see your GP if u are loosing weight unintentionally .

Other than the : The obvious, more caliries per day, go to the doctor to make sure you do not suffer from diabetes or hyperthyroidism.
