Stool w/ cough: When you cough you increase your intrabadominal pressure- Valsalva. if you have lower sphincter tone you may leak. Causes of lower sphincter tone include spinal cord issues like disc herniation, fecal impaction, crohns disease, ulcerative colitis, multiple sclerosis, even diabetes. Would follow up with gastroenterology as they can measure and test tone, as soon as possible
