Not normal: Normally, there is no connection from the outer ear canal to the throat. If water or ear drops goes from one's ear canal into the throat, an ENT specialist can evaluate to see what happened. The ENT doctor can manually clear out wax and debris by using a microscope, and then check for ear problems such as a hole in one's eardrum.
