BCPs: Sometimes break thru bleeding is unavoidable, even when regulating periods with birth control pills. No worries as long as excessive bleeding (2-3 wks) x 3 monthly cycles doesn't occur. A diet rich in iron also helps: milk, beans, red meat. Welcome to health tap, Dr. Ivy Fisher
