It is a layman's: term for Myocardial Infarction. It is caused by a blockage of a coronary artery resulting in injury to the cardiac muscle distal to the obstruction. It is also a slang term to imply a surprising event. "Her purple hair gave me a heart attack!"

Damage to heart: Caused by clogged coronary vessel. Symptoms of chest pain pressure .with radiation of pain down the left arm usually and or neck ,jaw and or back pain ( refereed pain) Need to get to nearest hospital with international facility.for emergent angioplasty.take aspirin call 911 rescue they will get patient to the nearest hospital with appropriate facility
