A member asked:

What dmft score is considered poor oral health for an 18 year old?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

DMF: Decayed/Missing/Filled Teeth is a scoring system helpful in epidemiology. There as no designation for "poor oral health," this is just a tracking system. Any decayed, missing, or filled teeth are indications of compromised oral health, as are other indicators that address the soft tissues in the oral cavity. If it has been more than 6 months since your last Dental Examination, please schedule.
