Bacterial vaginosis?: The main cause of vaginal discharge with strong odor is bacterial vaginosis. Recurrent BV is a common and frustrating problem. Get checked for STDs, which can trigger BV. Periodic treatment with metronidazole sometimes helps; also ask doc about boric acid vaginal capsules. Avoid sex for a while, or only with condoms; or if you have a female partner, she also needs BV treatment. Good luck!
