Heavy: Heavy backpack needs to be lightened. Pain is your body waving a red flag. OTC analgesics, heat and massage will take the edge off, but will not cure your problem. Sore back is signal the heavy load is doing damage, which may become permanent. If lightening the load does not resolve your problem, see GP for examination. Don't blow this off.

Pack pack pain: First please see your doctor to make sure there are no medical conditions related to your back that need treatment. Then do some research on different backpacks to find one that may be more comfortable to address the source of your discomfort. Pain patches can be used to soothe the area but please do not allow them to mask the need for treatment. Peace and good health.
