Helpers: Gargle with salt water. Drink tea with honey. Suck on popsicles. Take something to relieve pain like Acetaminophen or ibuprofen. Lots of chicken soup and tlc. Hope you feel better soon.

Ibuprofen: Ibuprofen can help with the sore throat. Also there are some over the counter oral sprays that don't last that long but can help with eating meal. Gargling with salt and water can also sometimes relieve the pain some.
