Pneumothorax?: If you had a pneumothorax and required a chest tube with or without surgery it may take a month before you can get back to routine. But you should be able to walk as much as you like. If you had a collapse from pneumonia and no surgery it may take two plus weeks until you can return to routine. You common sense for exercise and return to work after any illness.
